Exciting events await at our family reunion this summer!
Schedule
Thursday, July 16th, 2026
- Morning through Early Afternoon: Elk Creek hike to first Meadows.
- 6:30 P.M.: Welcome dinner (Pulled pork and nachos) and a short program honoring Simeon and Annie Dunn family.
- Location: LDS Church, La Jara, Colorado.
Friday, July 17th, 2026
- 10:00 a.m.: Pioneer celebration parade. We will be watching the parade at the Southeast corner of the LDS church lawn.
- After the parade: Meet north of the bishops building under the trees for lunch. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.
- Afternoon: Visit the old and new Manassa cemeteries, and then the Sanford cemetery. Time permitting, we may also visit the Eastdale burial site. It would be nice to decorate family graves.
Saturday, July 18th, 2026
- 10:00 a.m.: Pioneer parade.
- 12:30 p.m.: Pioneer rodeo.
- 5:00 p.m.: Picnic social and games at Jack Dempsey Park.
- 8:00 p.m.: Demolition Derby at the Manassa fairgrounds.
- After the demolition derby: Fireworks display. We will watch them at the South lawn of the Manassa LDS Church.
